Terms and Conditions — DOccMed Portfolio Review Service
Purchase of the DOccMed Portfolio Review Service constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
1. Purpose of the Service
The DOccMed Portfolio Review Service provides educational feedback, critique and guidance on a candidate's existing Diploma in Occupational Medicine (DOccMed) portfolio.
The purpose of the review is to help candidates identify areas for improvement before submission to the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (FOM).
This service is not intended to be a portfolio writing, editing or ghost-writing service.
2. Candidate Responsibilities
By purchasing this service, you confirm that:
- The portfolio is entirely your own original work.
- You are the author of all submitted material.
- The portfolio has been completed before submission for review.
- You have made your own best effort to produce a portfolio that you consider close to being suitable for submission to the FOM.
- You have read and understood the current FOM guidance relating to the DOccMed portfolio.
3. Minimum Standard Required
The portfolio submitted for review must:
- contain both required reports (workplace visit and clinical case);
- be no more than 2000 words. The first 2000 words only will be marked;
- be substantially complete;
- contain sufficient clinical and workplace detail to permit meaningful review;
- demonstrate that the candidate has independently attempted the portfolio.
Portfolios that are clearly incomplete, contain extensive placeholders, consist of rough notes, bullet points, or missing major sections are not suitable for this service.
4. What the Review Includes
The review may include feedback on:
- overall structure
- clarity
- organisation
- readability
- logical flow
- demonstration of occupational medicine reasoning
- linkage to evidence
- professional presentation
- strengths
- weaknesses
- areas requiring improvement
- compliance with FOM expectations where applicable
- suggestions for further reading or areas requiring clarification
Feedback may be provided using comments within the document, a written summary, annotated PDF, tracked changes, or another format determined by the reviewer.
5. What the Review Does NOT Include
This service does not include:
- writing sections of your portfolio
- rewriting large portions of text
- creating reports for you
- producing reflections on your behalf
- generating clinical reasoning
- generating workplace assessments
- fabricating evidence
- inventing references
- completing missing sections
- correcting every grammatical or spelling error
- guaranteeing compliance with FOM requirements
- guaranteeing a pass
The reviewer will not complete work that should reasonably be undertaken by the candidate.
6. Extensive Deficiencies
If, upon initial review, the portfolio is considered substantially incomplete or below the minimum standard required for meaningful educational review, the reviewer reserves the right to:
- stop the review;
- return the portfolio with a brief explanation;
- request that the candidate completes the missing work before resubmission.
In these circumstances, the review fee remains payable as professional time has been allocated, and an assessment undertaken. A partial refund, including deduction for time and expenses, may be given at OccHealthRevision's discretion.
7. Candidate Ownership
All work remains the responsibility of the candidate.
Any amendments made following feedback must be completed by the candidate.
The reviewer will not become a co-author of the portfolio.
8. No Guarantee of Success
Use of this service does not guarantee:
- success in the DOccMed examination;
- any particular mark or outcome.
While we are confident that a review by us will enable you to write the portfolio to a satisfactory standard, the Faculty of Occupational Medicine alone determines whether a portfolio meets the required standard to pass.
9. Academic Integrity
The reviewer will not assist with academic misconduct.
The reviewer reserves the right to refuse work where there is reasonable concern regarding:
- plagiarism;
- fabricated clinical cases;
- fabricated workplace assessments;
- AI-generated submissions presented as original work;
- unethical or dishonest practice.
No refund will be provided where the service is refused due to suspected academic misconduct.
10. Turnaround Time
The advertised turnaround begins once:
- payment has been received;
- all required documents have been submitted.
Turnaround times are estimates and may vary according to workload, but it will be within 14 days.
11. Revisions
Unless explicitly stated at the time of booking, the review includes one review only.
Subsequent reviews of revised portfolios require purchase of a further review service.
12. Confidentiality
All portfolios will be treated as confidential.
Documents will not be shared with third parties.
Candidates remain responsible for ensuring that patient-identifiable information has been fully anonymised before submission.
13. Limitation of Liability
The reviewer accepts no responsibility for:
- examination outcomes;
- FOM decisions;
- delays caused by incomplete submissions;
- errors remaining after the candidate has revised the portfolio;
- losses arising from reliance on the feedback provided.
The maximum liability shall not exceed the fee paid for the review.
14. Refund Policy
Because professional time is reserved specifically for each candidate, refunds are generally unavailable once review has commenced. Refunds will not be available after 48 hours of submission.
Refunds will not be provided because:
- the candidate disagrees with the feedback;
- the candidate does not pass the examination;
- the candidate submits an incomplete portfolio;
- the candidate decides not to submit to the FOM.
Where the reviewer is unable to complete the review for reasons within their control, an appropriate refund may be offered at the reviewer's discretion.
15. Right to Decline Service
The reviewer reserves the right to refuse or terminate the service where:
- the submitted work falls substantially below the minimum standard required;
- inappropriate behaviour occurs;
- academic misconduct is suspected;
- payment has not been received;
- the service is requested for purposes inconsistent with professional educational support.
16. Acceptance of Terms
Purchase of the DOccMed Portfolio Review Service constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Candidates acknowledge that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms before submitting their portfolio.
